Naples, FL

Hurricane protection in
Fort Myers, Florida.

Impact windows, doors, shutters and screens across Lee County, measured, permitted and installed by our own crew out of Fort Myers.

Naples, Collier County

We work every neighbourhood
in the city.

Fort Myers is not one housing stock, it is four. Gulf-front rebuilds on Fort Myers Beach and Sanibel are engineered openings with custom sizes and long lead times. McGregor Corridor and the Moorings are largely 1970s and 80s stock on the second or third set of windows. Golden Gate and Cypress Lake are smaller ranches where a whole-home impact package is genuinely affordable. And the newer communities east of 41 arrived with builder-grade units that met code on the day and are now the ones failing first.

All of it is permitted through Lee County, which reads the code its own way and inspects on its own schedule. We file there every week, so your timeline is a date rather than a guess. And because the shop is twenty minutes up the road in Bonita, a warranty call is a drive, not a dispatch.

How it works

Our process in Naples.

From the first measure to final inspection, here is exactly what to expect.

1.

Free measure

We walk the house, measure every opening, and tell you what the code actually requires for your address. No obligation and no pressure.

2.

Pick & permit

You choose type, frame and glass. We draw it, submit it, and pull the permit with Lee or Collier. Including engineering when an opening needs it.

3.

Your install

Our own crew, usually one elevation a day. Old units hauled off, stucco patched, and the site swept before we leave each evening.

4.

Inspection & paperwork

We meet the inspector at final, then hand you the NOA sheets and the closed permit for your records.

Ready to do this? Let’s get you a number.

Answer a few questions and you get a price on the spot. If you want it checked properly after that, we come out and measure every opening ourselves.

Why us for hurricane protection.

Anybody can quote hurricane protection. These are the four things you can go and check on us yourself, before you sign anything.

Go and look at the windows

Ask us for addresses near you and we will give you them. Twenty years in three counties means there is almost certainly a house we glazed within a few miles of yours. Stand on the street and look at the sightlines, the frame colour and the stucco line around the opening, which is where a rushed install shows first.

You can come to the shop

One address in Fort Myers. Come and put your hands on a laminated unit before you buy one. An impact window is a twenty-year purchase and it is worth twenty minutes to see the frame and the glass edge in person rather than in a brochure.

The approval numbers go on your quote

Every window carries a Miami-Dade Notice of Acceptance or a Florida Product Approval rated at or above what your address’s wind zone requires, and the specific numbers for your openings are printed on the quote. Most impact window quotes just say “impact rated” and leave it there, which tells you nothing about what you are actually getting.

There is exactly one company to call

The person who measures your openings is on our payroll, and so is the person who fits them. That matters more on windows than on almost anything else we do: a rated unit installed to the wrong fixing schedule is no longer a rated unit, and there is nobody to argue with about it later.

Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers to your impact window questions. No contractor games or hidden fluff, just the facts about how we protect your Florida home.

How does Sunshine State differ from other contractors?

We aren’t storm chasers. We are local owners working out of one shop in Fort Myers, and we measure, permit, install and warranty every job with our own crew. Nothing is handed to a subcontractor who leaves the county after season.

Both meet code. Impact windows are permanent: nothing to put up, nothing to store, and they also help with noise, UV and security. Shutters and screens cost less up front and work well for lanais and large slider runs, but someone has to close them before a storm. Many homes use a combination of both.

Yes, for anything that changes an opening, in both Lee and Collier. We pull it, we submit the product approvals and we meet the inspector at final. You do not deal with the county.

Most of Bonita Springs, Estero and Fort Myers is in a 150 mph design-wind-speed zone, with higher requirements along the coast and barrier islands. Every product we install carries a Miami-Dade NOA or Florida Product Approval that meets or exceeds the requirement for your address.

Custom units run six to ten weeks from the factory. Install is usually one to three days depending on how many openings. We tell you the real lead time before you sign, not after.

We serve Lee, Collier and Charlotte counties, including Bonita Springs, Naples, Estero, Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Marco Island, Sanibel and Captiva, Punta Gorda and nearby communities. See the full service area.
